Lovely weekend. Friday had to stay late finishing up a project that got dumped on the boss and thus me at the last minute. Happy hour drinks with the boy and some of the gang. Then the boy made a lovely dinner. Seared tuna with a yummy sauce, (he was trying to replicate our favourite appetizer from our favourite restaurant) and a delicious salad. Afterwards headed to the pub for C’s birthday. Two amusing moments. As C was introducing us to his sister (or reintroducing? I’ve met her several times before…) he said, ‘…and this is swyrl and this is N…her boyfriend? I’m not quite sure’ Of course we had to say, yes, its more or less official. Obviously you have a life and did not notice the change in our fb info…I need a life…Second amusing moment was when some teammates came in and saw us sitting together and were all, ‘oh so you guys are together now? That’s great!’ That seems to be everybody’s general comment. Sort of odd when you think about it...

Saturday was the usual gym and chores followed by dinner with the boy. Went to a sushi place I had never been before. Apparently the guy who owns it trained all the best sushi chefs in the city and the boy used to work for him. Add in the fact that the boy speaks Japanese and lived in Japan and dinner was quite lovely. Afterwards…sigh. I succumbed. Went out for drinks with my parents at a place I hate. *groan* They wanted to meet him and I could put it off no longer. Was not too bad…but also drank several glasses of wine to compensate.

Watched a movie afterwards and just crashed. Sunday, the boy had an eleven a.m soccer game. *groan* And we slept in and we had to pick up a teammate. After the game and a shower we grabbed Saturday’s paper and walked from his place to try out the local pub for brunch. I knew the owner so we chatted a bit which was nice. Brunch was delicious and I decided what the hey and indulged in a mimosa. Yum! After went over to workmates house to look through her old costumes for Halloween ideas. Found a couple potential bits and was invited to a potluck next week. Yes, *sigh* I enter a relationship and suddenly I am getting invited to couple dinner parties. Also the boy apparently likes entertaining and wants to do a dinner party at one point. Honestly, why do I keep feeling like the stereotypical guy...So we did some grocery shopping, relaxed and then made dinner and then it was time to head home and I was left wondering where the hell my weekend went.

Tonight watching B and the boy curl and then getting out to the gym and then cleaning the room and hopefully organizing the wine courses we want to do so we can sign up at one of the places at least.

Hoping drinks with Krystan this week but will see. This weekend shall be hectic. Friday is the Halloween office potluck I am organizing, a haircut, then a pre-Halloween/housewarming party for the boy’s friends. This will be the first event for his friends that I will be going to. Saturday is Russian friend’s Halloween party and also another friend of the boy’s Halloween party, so the plan is to hit both of them. Sunday evening is yet another event for friend’s of the boy. A thirty is the new sixty party which I do not really want to dress up for, nor does the boy. So we will see. He really wants me to go to back him up…sigh. Plus the boy has crazy deadlines for Sunday and he has a eleven a.m soccer game on Sunday and we have to fit in brunch somewhere there…and yah.

Lets not think about the fact that November is going to involve me dogsitting, a possible trip to the states, the boy's mother's birthday (he in fact now wants me to meet his family which is only fair, he's met both my siblings and my parents now) really trying to focus on thesis, my father's birthday, possibly my cousin's birthday, ang's potluck...yes...busy busy...
